About the Author
Lifelong friends from Sheffield, Henry and Ian are the guys behind BOSH! – The biggest plant-based video channel on Facebook. Totally powered by plants, BOSH! create mouthwatering meat- and dairy-free recipes that are shared across the globe, reaching over 26 million people a month.
If you’d told us three years ago we were going to spend our lives cooking and eating amazing plant-based food, we wouldn’t have believed you. We were a couple of mates from Sheffield who ate meat every single week.
Now we run BOSH!, the biggest plant-based online channel in the world. Our food creations were viewed by half a billion people in our first year and
our most popular recipe videos have been viewed over 50 million times. We never expected to have that kind of success, and it has been humbling.
‘I was the one to first cut out animal products.’
Ian.
‘I mocked Ian when he went vegan, and asked him where he’d get his protein from. But eventually he won me over. That and the whole saving the world by not eating mass-produced animal products thing.’
Henry
After cutting out animal products entirely, both of us felt fantastic. But we had to re-learn how to cook and find food when we were out and about. We also found that the vegan food available in restaurants or in cookbooks was often, frankly, not very good.
Since then, it’s been our life’s mission to show people how to make delicious plant-based meals. However often they choose to do that.
We cook, drink and film delicious recipes for the world, all from our home studio in East London.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Superb for a novice
3 October 2019
Format: Kindle Edition
An interesting concept from the hugely popular authors of the Bosh books (of which I admit to being a fan despite being more of a Pesci-Chicki-Flexi-tarian!). This book offers a great overview for the wannabee or new vegan. (whether that be you or someone you know). It also offers much insight for those wanting to spring clean their diet and their lifestyle without taking the full plunge. Much of it isn’t rocket science but it is hugely accessible and informative. Also bringing together a comprehensive companion to the issues related to plant based lifestyles. A niche market but well executed for its reader group.
With many thanks to Adrien (adrien@books-for-everyone.com) and Ann for an advance copy in consideration of an honest review.

I’ve been looking for something like this for a while. On a first read-through, it seems like a really good book to help me think and plan how to live a plant-based lifestyle. It doesn’t preach, but instead seems to be trying to help us navigate our way through the real and perceived difficulties in changing our own habits and those of the people around us. If you’re a hard-liner, then maybe this book’s thoughtful approach won’t suit you. But if you’re trying to move forward and think about how to take others with you in a positive and supportive way. Then I think the book is ideal. It’s a nice mix of technical detail and pragmatic strategic principles. And it’s easy to read! I’m looking forward to spending more time now re-reading it and putting the ideas into practice. Also I will definitely buy copies for friends and family.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great book for anyone who wants to know more about how to be vegan; positive and down to earth.

This is a great book for anyone who is interested in being vegan. I am a long-term vegetarian and my 16 year old daughter went fully vegan two years ago. She has inspired me to go “nearly” vegan. We are huge fans of the two BOSH cook books, (BISH BASH BOSH & Bosh Recipes Amazing Plants. Of which are our cooking bibles. This book has a different purpose. To explain and explore how to live our lives as vegans. Although I already know a lot of the information, I can totally imagine this being a great read for anyone who is interested in learning more about veganism.
Noteworthy
It is easy to read, and is written with honesty and integrity. The beauty of Henry and Ian’s approach is that there are real young people who are celebrating this positive way of living. And this comes across in the book. True, if you are already very informed about veganism then perhaps there won’t be much new information here. But spare a thought for all of the millions of people to whom veganism is a mystery. This is the perfect book for them! Buy it, read it, and lend it!
