Return and Refund Policy

Returns and refund policy. You can return all items sold on Books-for-everyone. When you return an item, you may see different return options depending on the seller, item or reason for return.

Return items that you ordered. Our refunds policy doesn’t affect your statutory rights. Your refund and how your refund is issued may differ based on the condition of the item, how long you’ve had the item, and how the item was purchased. Most refunds are issued based on the payment method used at the time of purchase. In some cases, you may be offered an instant refund option.If you want to use your refund without waiting for us to process your return, you can select the Email Refund option HERE, if available. Instant refunds are either refunded to your credit card

Note: Your refund request will be processed instantly. However, it may take five to seven business days for it to display on your payment card statement. Books-for-everyone, may determine that a refund can be issued without requiring a return.

Will I Be Refunded Any Return Postage Costs?

We’ll refund your return costs on items sold and/or Fulfilled by Books-for-everyone, up to our standard delivery option cost, in the following cases:

  • You received an incorrect item.
  • You received a damaged item.
  • You received a defective item.
  • You received an item that does not match its description.
  • You are returning shoes, clothing, jewelry, or watches.

In accordance with your statutory rights, if you received an item sold and/or Fulfilled by Books-for-everyone, that is either incorrect, damaged, defective, or doesn’t match its description, we’ll either offer you the option to return the product via a prepaid carrier option, or, if that’s not possible and the cost of returning the item exceeds our standard delivery option, please Contact Us to receive a refund for any reasonable additional postage costs you incurred. Note that we may require proof of postage in order to refund such additional postage costs.

Partial Refunds or Reduced Refunds

Statutory Cancellation Right. You have the statutory right to cancel your order for any reason within 14 days beginning with the day you receive the item

About Our Returns Policies

Books-for-everyone.com, and many Sellers on Books-for-everyone.com, offer returns for most items within 30 days of receipt of delivery. You can use this page to learn about our return policies. Most items sold on Books-for-everyone.com follow our general return policies,

As set out in our Returns Policy, a returned item must be in the same condition in which you received it. This means that new items must be returned in the exact condition in which you received it from Books-for-everyone, (including all accessories). If you’ve received a gift and wish to return it, the gift will be assessed and may be subject to a reduced refund as described below. As with all gift returns, reduced refund amounts will be applied to an Books-for-everyone, gift card and allocated to your account. Please see the table below for more information on products that are impacted.

Refunds

When you return an item, your refund amount and refund method may vary. You can check the payment method that was refunded and the status of your refund in Your Orders.

Note: All information on this page only relates to items bought from or Fulfilled by Books-for-everyone. Don’t return items to Books-for-everyone that were bought on Books-for-everyone Marketplace and shipped to you by the seller.

Note: After the carrier has received your item, it can take up to two weeks for us to receive and process your return.

How Refunds Are Issued

When returning an item, you can choose your preferred refund method in the Returns Center.

If you’re receiving a refund after we have received your item, it may take an additional three to five business days to process your return fully and issue your refund.

Once we issue your refund, it may take additional time for your funds to be made available in your account by your financial institution. See the following table for more details.

Note: Refund timing to a prepaid card depends on the issuer of the card. The refund can take up to 30 days to process based on the policy of the issuer. If you no longer have the physical card, the card is still stored within your account. It can be used toward future purchases on the account it’s stored in.

Gift Returns

The type of refund or credit you receive depends on how the gift was purchased and how it was returned. For more information about gift refunds, go to Return a Gift.

Books-for-everyone may determine that a refund can be issued without requiring a return. If you aren’t required to mail your item back for a refund, you’ll be notified in the Returns Center or by a customer service associate. For more information, see Conditions of Use.

Note: Tax on restocking fees may apply to return items that were shipped and sold by Books-for-everyone.com for customers in CT, MD, NV, PA, VA, WV, and WI. Some products have additional conditions that may apply. For more information, go to About Our Returns Policies.

Note: Once a returned item has been processed by our Returns Department, we can’t send it back to you.
