Shiatsu massage is a traditional Japanese form of holistic bodywork meaning "finger pressure". This is a deep form of massage.
 
What does a HoMedics Shiatsu massager do?
 
Each HoMedics Shiatsu Massager uses state of the art mechanisms that travel up and down the back, relieving even the tightest knots, as well as boasting ‘finger-like’ spot shiatsu to target specific problem areas, soothing away tension, muscle aches and fatigue. The inclusion of heat provides a full sensory experience and promises blissful relief for your back, neck and shoulders.

Fully programmable, the HoMedics Shiatsu Massager with Heat also offers remote control, with a multitude of different programmes – for shoulders, middle and lower back, both as rolling (available only on certain models) and Shiatsu massage. Plus is also an integrated strap system to ensure it easily fits most chairs.

Shoulder Position Adjustment

Once the shoulder massage function is on, you may adjust the massage position in the shoulder area by holding down either arrow button until the desired position is reached. The Up Arrow will move the mechanism up and the Down Arrow will move it down. Once you release the button, the mechanism will stop in that place.

Demo Button

For a brief demonstration of the features of the Shiatsu One Massage Cushion, press the Demo button. The unit will briefly go through each function. Once complete, the unit automatically turns off. The L.E.D. light will blink to indicate the active functions. You may adjust the massage position in the shoulder area by holding down either the Up or Down button till the desired position is reached.

Heat

For soothing heat when massage is on, simply press the heat button and the corresponding red LED light will illuminate. To deselect, press the button again and the corresponding LED light will turn off. Heat is available in both the back & shoulder areas, which are controlled separately. For your safety, heat cannot be turned on if the corresponding massage program is not on.

Spot Shiatsu for the Back

While the unit is in Shiatsu massage for the back, press either button to stop and focus the Shiatsu action in one place. Once the unit is operating in Spot Shiatsu, you may adjust the mechanism position by holding down either button until the desired position is reached. The Up Arrow will move the mechanism upwards and the Down Arrow will move it down. Once you release the button, the mechanism will stop in that place.

Vibration Massage

Add invigorating vibration massage to any shiatsu or rolling massage program.

Width Adjustment

While the unit is in Rolling massage for the back, press this button to adjust the distance or width between the massage heads. With each press, the massage heads will move to the next available position.

Carry Case Included

The HoMedics SBM-600H-GB comes with a carry case, stored in a compartment under the seat cushion. To access the carry case, make sure the cushion is unplugged and the cord is properly secured in the pocket between the cushion and the seat. With the cushion sitting upright in the chair, remove the bag from the compartment on the cushion (see Fig A).  Unzip the bag and slide it over the cushion from the top down (see Fig B). Zip the bag and carry the cushion using the handles on the side of the bag (see Fig C).
