The Iliad [Kindle Edition] by Homer

This is the 1862-64 Derby plain prose translation of the Iliad.

I thought Kindle version would be terrible - I was totally wrong!

It is as absorbing, thought provoking and inspiring as ever.

If you want an "easy way to read the Iliad" without the pain of Pope's earlier "versified" version then I'd suggest you need look no further.

It isn't Dan Brown, but please, please give it a go. See if something written 2,500 years ago actually still talks to you across the years :)
